The first Anne book, Anne of Green Gables, describes the changes that Anne makes to her bedroom. When she arrives as a forlorn 11-year-old orphan, the bedroom is clean, neat, and severe. She makes romantic, inexpensive changes until the room reflects her feminine personality.
Many Anne fans and publishers of Anne books follow a tradition of leaving Anne's face to the reader's imagination. Here is a photograph of a mirror I found that reminds me of Anne. I was careful to leave the reflective area blank!
